Team Events

We’ll first work with you to determine the location you’re interested in, your ideal date or season, and how many participants you would expect. With this information, we will begin searching for a planting partner in your area that could best accommodate your event request. Once a partner is identified, we will provide you with an event proposal that includes location, date, and requested donation to the planting partner.

In order to provide ample time for volunteer engagement and planting partner readiness, we recommend starting the planning process a couple months prior to your ideal event date. Planting seasons vary by location. If you are hoping for a planting event, rather than a restoration event, our Coordinators can work with you to determine the best timelines for your region.

Yes! Our events team can assist with their knowledge of the planting seasons all over the world. If you are flexible on timing, we can ensure you’re connected with a tree planting project.

We work with a range of established community planting partners to bring your events to life in many major cities around the world. These partners decide where trees or environmental restoration work is needed most. This can be on city streets, in neighborhood parks, or in conservation areas.

Restoration work can encompass invasive species removal; tree care and site maintenance; nursery work; meadow, grassland, or wetland restoration; trail maintenance; pollinator establishment or urban gardening tasks.

Our planting partners are usually comfortable with numbers ranging from 20 to 50 volunteers. This is due to the availability of planting partner staff to safely lead and guide volunteers on the event day, and the availability of necessary tools and equipment. For larger groups, we will work with our planting partners to determine a unique project, or combination of projects, that can allow for a larger volunteer capacity.

While there is no limit to the number of planting events you can host, we recommend starting with a few events per planting season to maximize staff participation and planning efficiencies.

Restoration and planting events typically start at $3,000 USD and $5,000 USD, respectively, though costs vary by location, planting partner, expected volunteer count, and the nature of the project. Confirmed pricing will be provided in a detailed proposal from the events team, once a planting partner and project have been identified.
